We are sorry to have to announce that the Hullabaloo Festival 2012 will not take place on the June Bank Holiday as originally scheduled.
We can confirm that the Hullabloo Festival will be taking place on the new dates of August 25th, 26th and 27th 2012! (The 2012 August Bank Holiday).
We've been very lucky in so far as the vast majority of bands and performers are able to make the new date. At the moment the line-up is looking mostly unchanged although there will obviously be some exceptions and some artists will be appearing on a different day than originally scheduled. We update the website as and when each performer confirms.
The same applies to nearly all our traders, food vendors and associated organisations.
We have some time now until the new date, so we are very confident that we can replace any missing attractions with an equivalent, and who knows, perhaps even better! (it's certainly very likely it will be drier!).
Tickets for the rescheduled event are now on sale and please remember that any tickets you have already purchased are valid for the new date. Provided you can make the new date, you do not need to do anything except turn up in August on the corresponding date. Eg. If you hold a ticket for Saturday 3rd June 2012, then your ticket will allow you admission on Saturday 26th August.
We will be continuously updating the website over the coming weeks, so you can check here if you want to keep abreast of confirmations, cancellations and/or new acts.
Our reasons for Rescheduling
The extreme weather conditions, (apparently the wettest 4 weeks for over 100 years) have left the festival site completely sodden and in some areas flooded. The forecast was for more rain over the next 2 weeks and the Met Office had issued flood warnings for the region. We were advised by the landowner (who has worked on the land for over 30 years and has never before seen such conditions) that even if we did have a dry spell it would not have been enough to dry the ground sufficiently.
For this reason we decided not to delay in making the decision to reschedule so that the performers, artists, traders, ticket holders and everyone else involved have the best opportunity possible to re-arrange their plans for the Bank Holiday.
We would like to thank everyone for being so patient with us and all those that have tried so hard to participate in August.
Thank you.
Cheltenham's very own one-man electro indie pop party, Charlie Baxter will be appearing at Hullabaloo (Sunday 3rd June)
